Having a credit card holds a certain amount of responsibility, especially since it can have a huge effect on your credit score. Here are some mistakes that you should avoid making with your card.

Don’t pay bills late.
Don’t max out your credit card (ideally you want to utilize less than 50 percent of the available credit).
Don’t close out old unused card accounts.
Don’t get trapped into paying useless annual fees.
Don’t overlook your rewards.
Don’t just pay the minimum amounts.
